Haiti Travel Update

We are lucky enough to share a reflection tonight from some of our missionaries! Tonight's reflection is from our youngest travelers, Devon, Kayla, Bella, Maddie, and Darby:

Bon Swa everyone! Greetings from Bohoc, Haiti. We've arrived at the guesthouse near Monarch and are now sitting down to reflect on everything that we've experienced in the past two days. When we arrived in Haiti on Friday we were overwhelmed and excited by the new environment. Port-au-Prince was teeming with people and bright colors everywhere. Our amazing 410 Bridge coordinator, Fabnise brought us to the guesthouse we stayed in Friday night. After our first Haitian meal and a competitive game of "prison rules" UNO, we gathered outside for some spontaneous but beautiful music worship with our team. The next morning we set off for our home for the next seven days. After an interesting 4 1/2 hour car ride, we settled into our new guesthouse in Bohoc. The people working in the guesthouse are amazing and incredibly hospitable. After a wonderful lunch we ventured to Monarch about 40 minutes away and met with the leadership council to discuss the projects Monarch wanted to work on. We toured the community, meeting with people. We were amazed by the love radiating out of the people and the great fullness and acceptance they showed to us.

As we write this reflection we are struck with the excitement we have, looking forward to the next week as we spend time with this beautiful community in this beautiful place.

With love,
Devon, Kayla, Bella, Maddie, Darby and the rest of the Haiti travel team
